Bergkamp targets coaching job in England

Former Arsenal forward Dennis Bergkamp became a legend for the fans during his spell at the club between 1995 and 2006.

(GSM) - Dennis Bergkamp would like to work as a coach in England in the future. The Arsenal legend sees himself as a specialist striking coach and not as a head coach because he doesn't want the pressure of a head coaching job.

The 40-year-old former Dutch international became a firm fans' favourite at the Gunners, ending his career in north London after previously starring for Ajax and Inter. He currently works as a youth coach at his first club Ajax. He has in the past hinted that he would consider joining Arsene Wenger's coaching staff at the Emirates, and has revealed that it is certainly England where he would like to cut his coaching teeth.

"I want to work and train a team in England," he told Dutch magazine JFK.

"Not as a head coach but instead as a member of staff, where I could work specifically with the strikers.

"Being a coach means you have to work 24 hours a day and that does not suit me. You have to watch matches at home, travel to see other teams, prepare training - it is something that I am not ready to do."
