Panathinaikos drop points in Greece
Panathinaikos remain in first place in the Greek Super League
Panathinaikos failed to take further distance from Olympiakos on Sunday, as the Athens side were held to a 1-1 draw by Asteras Tripolis.
As Olympiakos drew 2-2 with PAS Giannina a day earlier, Panathinaikos knew that a win over Asteras would allow them to extend their lead to four points.
But 61 minutes had been played at the Spyros Louis Olympic Stadium of Athens when Shikoze Udoji put the visiting side in the lead.
An equaliser from Djibril Cisse in the 74th minute did limit the damage, but Panathinaikos failed to find the target a second time.
'Pana' remain in the lead with 29 points from 11 games, two points more than Olympiakos.
