Liverpool FC announced on Thursday that first-team coach Alex Miller is to become the new manager of JEF United Chiba in Japan's J-League.

The 58-year-old Scot has spent almost a decade at Anfield, the last four years as part of Rafael Benítez's coaching team. "I want to wish Alex all the best in his new job," said the Spaniard.
