Russia coach Guus Hiddink was predictably downbeat after his side were beaten 3-0 by fellow UEFA EURO 2008 finalists Romania in Bucharest.

"Romania were better than us, but we lost because we were very naive," said the Dutchman. His opposite number, Victor Piþurcã, said: "When you win 3-0, not too much can be said, but we have to keep our feet on the ground."
