The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has rescinded the three-point deduction inflicted on Cagliari Calcio at the beginning of March for taking legal action against former defender Gianluca Grassadonia.

The Sardinian club had started legal proceedings against the 35-year-old – who had made controversial statements about Cagliari in the press – without the governing body's permission. The FIGC decision lifts Cagliari to third from bottom in Serie A with 28 points.
