MADRID (AFP) - Barcelona are concerned that star striker Samuel Eto'o has picked up a leg injury while playing for Cameroon in the African Nations Cup.

Eto'o, expected back in Barcelona on Tuesday, will be examined by club doctors and undergo a scan to determine the exact nature of the "twinge" in his left thigh that he said he felt at the end of the Sunday's final which Cameroon lost 1-0 to Egypt.

Eto'o finished the African Nations Cup as the tournament's overall leading his five goals taking his tally in all editions to 16.
