WARSAW (AFP) - Polish club Legia Warsaw confirmed Friday they have formally clinched a deal with Russia's CSKA Moscow for the transfer of up and coming striker Dawid Janczyk.

"Dawid Janczyk has become a CSKA Moscow player," Legia spokesman Pawel Wargenau told AFP.

Janczyk, 19, told Poland's PAP news agency that CSKA have given him a five-year deal.

According to press reports the deal is worth a national record fee of more than four million euros (5.5 million dollars).

Wargenau, however, said Janczyk's price tag was "a little lower" but did not reveal the amount.

Janczyk is currently on duty with the Polish national squad at the FIFA world under-20 championships in Canada.

Poland were knocked out of the tournament on Thursday, after losing 3-1 to Argentina in the round of 16.

Janczyk scored the Polish consolation goal in the match, adding a third to his tally over four games at the championships.
