LIBEREC/SEVILLE, Nov 23 (Sw) – Slovan Liberec thrashed Group C strugglers Grasshoppers for their first win of the campaign, while Sevilla beat Braga.

Slovan Liberec – Grasshopper Zurich 4-1

Slovan Liberec bagged their first win in Group C by confidently beating the Grasshoppers 4-1 in the early-evening slot. The Swiss managed to cancel out Jan Blazek’s 7th minute opening goal a mere two minutes later, but ultimately failed to hang on.

Tomas Zapotocny put Slovan up front again in the 21st minute. Papousek and Frejlach completed the Czech win in the second half.

Sevilla – Sporting Braga 2-0

Sevilla ended on top as they defeated fellow Iberians Braga 2-0. Luis Fabiano put the UEFA cup holders up front after 40 minutes. Fellow striker Chevanton added another on 76 to secure the 3 points for the Spaniards.
