NIMES, June 30 (SW) – French outfit FC Istres will be playing their first five home fixtures of next season at Nimes’ Stade des Costieres, before moving to their new stadium.

Istres’ new stadium of Fos-sur-Mer is currently under construction and as it will not be ready before the kick-off of the 2004/05 championnat season, it was time for the newly promoted outfit to find some other arrangements.

Istres and Nimes then found an agreement to allow the French top flight side to share ground with the 3rd division club for the beginning of the campaign, with FC Istres set to pay a 9000-euro fee to the city of Nimes and 12000-euro fee to Nimes Olympique per match played at ‘Les Costieres’.

The French Football federation is yet to agree this arrangement between both sides. Istres’ new stadium should be ready for mi-October.
