Lyon had twice taken the lead early on through Miralem Pjanic and Sidney Govou, only for Souleymane Diawara and then Benoit Cheyrou to make equalise.

Second-placed Lyon are now one point adrift of Bordeaux, who appeared weary and clueless against Lille and conceded two goals from midfielders Yohan Cabaye and Florent Balmont.
